FROM ESTATE OF A POCKET WATCH COLLECTOR! A rare WWII era size 16s Hamilton Watch Co. Military Grade pocket watch made under a U. Watch Grade is 4992B w/22 jewel pendant set movement with red ruby jewels.

This watch is a 3/4 plate open face movement with nickel finish. The watch adjusts to temperature and six positions.

Watch has a double-sunk dial with second hand register and bold Arabic numerals. Spade and Whip watch hands have a deep blue-black finish.

There is one hairline crack visible from the sunken edge left of the numeral 3 running to dial's edge. Some minute scratches are present, consistent with use.

The watch was manufactured circa 1941-2 at the beginning of WWII with movement Serial Number: 4C50325. The movement appears immaculate and watch keeps good time. IMPORTANT NOTE: The watch has been modified with a "Civilian" dial and with the removal of the part that allows Hacking when setting the watch, thus reducing it to a 21 jewel movement; removal of that part also allows the second hand register to work at the 6 o'clock location. Watch is encased in the original government Keystone Base metal screw back and bezel case (Serial number: 770352). Stamped on the back is the Military Contract information.

Some light wear is evident on case back consistent with use. Watch has a brand new crystal as the previous crystal had yellowed with age. Watch measures 51.7 mm in diameter X 65 mm long (at bow) X 15 mm thick (crystal included).

This vintage Hamilton Military Watch is in excellent condition, with many years of trouble-free service remaining. Watch has not been timed for accuracy and current state of operation and/or running can not be guaranteed as items are used and have not been mechanically serviced.
