Vintage Hamilton 10 Size 923 Movement Great Condition Running

  
HAMILTON 10 SIZE 923 MOVEMENT. The Hamilton 10s 923 is the highest grade movement that has 23 jewels. It is highly sought after and rare. Hamilton made 3,600 of these between 1937 and 1949 and this one was produced about 1938 (serial number R608). The dial and hands are very clean. The movement is running but stopped after an hour and when I reset the movement it ran for 23 hours before stopping again. It kept time only losing about 30 seconds when I checked it at 22 hours running face up on my desk.

This item should definitely be serviced (cleaned, oiled and adjusted) because of its age and unknown service history. It would be perfect for a wristwatch conversion or to be re-cased in a nice pocket watch case.
