Vintage 1944-45 Hamilton 992B 21j RR Pocket Watch in a Bar over Crown Star Case

  

FROM ESTATE OF A LONG TIME POCKET WATCH COLLECTOR! A beautiful size 16s Hamilton Watch Co. 992B Railroad Approved pocket watch. Watch Grade is 992B Model 5 21 jewel, lever set movement with red ruby jewels. This watch has a 3/4 plate, open face movement with nickel finish in a parallel lines pattern.

Watch adjusts to temperature and six positions. This watch has an immaculate double-sunk dial, with a second hand register and azure blue spade and whip watch hands. Montgomery dial features fancy Arabic numerals and is marked Hamilton Railway Special.

The watch was manufactured circa 1944-45 with movement Serial Number: C94132. The movement is extremely clean and watch keeps very good time.

Watch is encased in a Bar over Crown Star Watch Co. 10K Rolled Gold plate screw back and bezel case (Serial number: 3868967) with a smooth polished back. Case is almost immaculate with only minor scratches consistent with light and careful use. Crystal has one chip on the inside near the numeral 9 position. Other than that it is very nice condition with minimal scratches.

Watch measures 50.8 mm in diameter X 62 mm long (at bow) X 14.35 mm thick (crystal included). This is a high grade vintage Hamilton railroad approved watch in very nice condition, with many years of service remaining.
