RESTORED SERVICED OVERHAULED 16s Hamilton 974 Antique Pocket Watch c1922

  

FULLY RESTORED ANTIQUE AMERICAN POCKET WATCH. For your consideration, I have a beautifully restored 97 year-old Hamilton pocket watch.

This antique timepiece has been completely disassembled, ultrasonic cleaned, repaired, reassembled, lubricated, poised, timed, rated, and adjusted. This watch has a newly replaced balance staff, foot side balance hole jewel, NOS glass crystal, and mainspring. Until a week ago, this watch probably hasnt run in 30-40 years based on the old lubricants I saw. Pictures of the disassembled movement are included for your close-up inspection of serial numbers, jewels, pivots and other parts and to serve as proof of service work performed.

There are very few antique watchmakers around who can perform this kind of work and to the degree at which we do it while observing the Watchmakers Code of Ethics. There are a lot of pocket watches for sale on e-bay, BUT NOT LIKE THIS!

My watches are a little more expensive than what you regularly see on e-bay, but you get what you pay forquality, old world craftsmanship, and the confidence of knowing that you are purchasing a properly serviced timepiece. Hamilton Watch Co, 16 size, grade 974, 17 jewel movement with serial# 1662394 dates this watch to January of 1922! This nickel movement has a fine example of damaskeening. This is an open face, stem wind, pendant set timepiece that is in TOP running condition. This was an affordable high-grade watch in its time, and 97 years later, this antique is running as strong as it did the year it was produced.

It has a clear and crisp tick to it that is distinct only with quality American pocket watches. This will be a beautiful and reliable timepiece to carry with you daily or to add to your pocket watch collection. This pocket watch has been poised, timed, rated, and adjusted and will accurately keep within 15-20 seconds in a 24-hour period. This is considered excellent timekeeping for an antique mechanical watch.

ALL MINT and ALL ORIGIONAL. Beautiful enamel dial faces up beautifully with fancy Arabic numerals.

Hands are also original blued spades and are in MINT condition. The glass crystal is New-Old-Stock and in excellent condition. This open face case is a silverode case made by the Philadelphia Watch Case Co. It is a very nicely polished case that looks great and has minimal wear and only normal faint pocket scratches. Case back shows a nicely engraved Stag.

Like the movement, it has also been disassembled and serviced. Please review the close-up pictures carefully. The bow is tight and the front crystal bezel and case back both screw on and off perfectly.
