Description: Rare 1940 Packard Car Presentation Employee Watch 14k Solid Gold 52.4g 17J. 1940 Hamilton stem-set, Grade: 917, Model: 1, openface, 10S, 17J, metal dial, serial #X72865. Solid 14K gold case manufactured by Wadsworth and engraved with the text, Presented to Frank Chismody by the Packard Motor Car Company in appreciation of 10 years of loyal service. Watch winds and ticks, balance is free, hands can be set. Please see photos to best determine overall condition.

Condition: Very good, vintage condition, as found. Watch was wound, set, and ran accurately for 18 hours. Please keep in mind, this does not guarantee that it will continue to do so. Dial in excellent condition with only extremely minor scratches and discoloration throughout.

One small stain by three-hour mark. Case in good condition with some shallow scratching throughout, deeper scratches on interior of bow. Glass has detached from front of case, easily fixed. Unless otherwise noted, watches have not be. En tested for accuracy and are not tested for more than a few minutes. We test the condition of each watch movement by winding it, setting the hands, and observing if it is ticking or not.
