For your consideration is a beautiful Hamilton Model 950B railroad watch. It is serial # S21338, dating it to 1957. It comes in a fantastic pristine bar over crown case. The case shows absolutely no signs of wear and has no dents or dings.
It has a brushed or satin finish back. It is a 10k gold filled model from Star Watch Case Co. The only thing that keeps the case from being factory fresh are a few light scratches on the back, which don't show in the pics. Compare this case to pictures of a worn one and you will see what pristine really means.
It's an eye opener. It also comes with a correct double sunk enamel dial. What makes the dial correct is the "23 Jewels" marking. If it doesn't have this, then it isn't correct for this model.
The dial does have a couple of small hairlines. One is about 1/8 inch long and is just above the five on the lower level of the dial. The other begins just to the right of the 60 and runs upward. It is very tight and very hard to see with the naked eye, even in the right light. Neither shows in the pics. Overall a beautiful and CORRECT dial. The watch was just completely serviced by a Master Watch Maker and is ready to go.
This is considered by many to be one of the finest American railroad watches ever made. There were a total of only 29,500 of this model ever made. Adjusted to temperature and six positions.
