This 21 jewel Hamilton 992B Railway Special is a working and running watch. C120395 dates it to 1944.

It has a Wadsworth case, 10K Gold Filled. The dial is without any blemishes. The rear case has 2 tiny pin head size indentations which are difficult to see. The cross bar over the winding crown has lost some of its plating, which I have shown in the accompanying photos.

With lever time setting, it is a very good quality watch. The Hamilton 992B is generally regarded as the highest grade and quality pocket watch made in the US. Railway regulations required lever time setting to prevent any risk of inadvertently setting the watch to an erroneous time, when winding the watch with the stem.
