We did not know much about it, which is why we took this pocket watch to a shop in Atlanta that is independently owned and specializes in all types of timepieces from antiques, heirlooms to modern day timepieces. We were then given information to help us know more about this special piece of his family's history.
We were told it was from 1956 and it has a Montgomery Dial which is a Double Sink Dial. The watch expert graciously gave us the printout included in one of our photos above. He did not service it at all, but he did wind it up and it started running. That's all that was done to it. He also showed us how you change the hour with the removal of the face to access the lever set. What he told us upon quick observation was. It was a Montgomery Dial. There is some crackling on the dial face itself. There is a small chip on the edge of the crystal as noted in the photo with the arrow. It is 10K Rolled Gold.It is missing the bow to attach a chain or strap to. Again, this was NOT serviced and only quickly inspected by this expert to determine the year, serial number, etc. So I cannot attest to the accuracy of how well it keeps time or the actual condition of the watch itself.
I would imagine any Collector can tell from my photos the general condition of this pocket watch and the value of it. Normally, I would request you ask me any questions you may have prior to purchasing since all sales are final, but everything included herein and stated herein is all that I know.
