Hamilton Railroad Grade 940 Model 1, 18 Size 21 Jewel Open Face Pocket Watch w/ CWC Planet Gold Filled Case. Overall this watch is in good condition for age. Running about 30 seconds slow in 24 hours, no service records, not serviced or regulated.

Movement has a beautiful nickle damaskeened finish with gold filled lettering, balance wheel and screw in jewel sets, stem wind and lever set. Winds and sets as designed. The dial is a Hamilton signed bright white double sunk dial with bold black Arabic numerals and Red 5's, 1 very light hairline in outer chapter under bezel at 29 minute marker -see pictures. Cobalt blue closed diamond hands.

Bow stands on it's own -see pictures. Crown has great fluting for winding and setting -see pictures. The front bezel and rear cover screws on and off smooth as designed when aligned properly. Crystal is glass with light vintage use scratches still nice and clear -see pictures. The total weight of this watch is 116.4 grams.

The case is approximately 54.5mm diameter, 74.2mm over the bow and 18.3mm thick over crystal. From Pocket Watch Data Base. In general this is a nice old pocket watch in good condition. You will not be disappointed with this pocket watch.
