18 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set Grade 943 Mermod & Jaccard's St. Louis Paragon Time-Keeper pocket watch. One of Hamilton's most eye-catching private labels, the Paragon Time-Keeper features a distinctive hourglass image to its movement and dial.

This Grade 943 version, along with the Grade 942 open face equivalent, represent the finest quality version of this watch and are beautifully finished movements with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, gold flashed screws and regulator assemblies, gold flashed polished disks around their balance jewel setting, and an attractive narrow stripe damaskeen finish. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial, and watch is housed in a 25 year gold-filled Keystone J. Boss case that appears likely its original.

Running and a very nice looking movement overall with excellent color and luster. Barrel bridge has some scratches at its right side, and regulator spring has lost most of its gold flashed finish.

Dial is beautiful and virtually flawless with only a few truly minuscule pinpoint edge nicks under the case bezel. Case shows even overall wear with reduced engraving detail, wear to brass to the high points of its band and to the small raised "dots" at perimeter of front and rear, and case front opens a small amount wide of 90 degrees (opening to approximately 100 degrees).
