Hamilton Last Run Production 992 Bar Over Crown Cased Railroad Pocket Watch
Here is a vintage , and original Hamilton grade 992L 21 jewel, lever-set railroad approved pocket watch. The watch circa 1930 is from the last run of the 992 grade movements prior to the introduction of the 992E movements. The watch is in excellent overall condition, and using Shugart's guide I would rate this watch extra fine [G-6] 87%. The movement is clean and bright, with no rust or spotting. The watch winds and sets properly, and is running with a strong, smooth motion of the balance wheel and is keeping excellent time! The double-sunk enamel, box car dial is in excellent condition, with no chips or hairlines. The Hamilton Wadsworth bar-over- crown model 2, 10K yellow gold- filled case is in excellent condition, with matching case numbers. The case has some light pocket wear, but no dents. The covers screw on and off correctly and the bow holds firm. The crystal is plastic and is clear. Please view the twelve pictures. Overall a very nice Hamilton railroader!
