Hamilton Grade 962 Rare Early 16 Size 17 Jewel Pocket Watch

  

16 size 17 jewel open face pendant-set Grade 962 pocket watch. A rare and attractive early bridge model grade, the total production of the 962 was only 350 made.

Movement features gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, circular pattern nickel damaskeen, and interestingly is only marked with the word "Adjusted" and a serial number as is typical of Hamilton's very earliest 16 size production. Watch is fronted by a double-sunk enamel dial and is housed in a Fahys "Permanent Quality" gold-filled hinged case. Movement serial number is 50353.

Running and a nice looking movement with excellent color and luster and just some typical mild surface marks. Dial has some light hairlines in its outer chapter and its seconds-register. Case has a good overall look but with some scattered dings or shallow dents to its band and to its rear. Case crown is well worn, has had some notches added for grip, and is missing a portion of its outer layer.
