Nice Hamilton AN-5740 4992b with original box. The GCT stands for Greenwich Civil Time.

It was changed to GMT or Greenwich Mean Time in 1952. The AN designation is for Army-Navy.

Manufacture date is 1942 for the WW2 period. The watch is running and keeping excellent time, not tested long term in all positions. The case has nicks to the edges. The plastic lens has come loose. I did not want to replace it as it is the original, I left it loose so the new owner can decide if they want to replace it. The back engraving is clear and sharp.. Please examine the photos for condition details.
