This is a vintage Hamilton US Navy Comparing Pocket Watch used to compare the time on a Marine chronometer for accuracy. The movement is a military issued grade 2974B manual hand winding movement with 17 jewels size 16. This is a pendant set pocket watch in a base metal case by Keystone Watch Case Co. There is some wear and major scratched on the back case as seen in the photos.

The markings on the rear cover read Bureau of Ships, US Navy Comparing Watch, N. There is an inner dust cover underneath the screw back case and the nickel finish movement which features a hacking function has not been serviced but was wound and set and kept good time over a 24 hour period.
