16 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set 993 "Special" pocket watch. A rare and very beautiful watch with movement featuring a spectacular 2-tone gold and nickel damaskeen finish and with "Special" marked to its barrel bridge. Watch is fronted by a double-sunk enamel dial with script signature and is housed in a 20 year gold-filled Fahys Montauk hunting case with attractive striped pattern engraving to its front and rear. Movement serial number is 743307. Running though started somewhat sluggishly and I think likely hasn't seen a cleaning and oiling in quite some time.

Movement is beautiful overall with a superb 2-tone color. Regulator spring has some oxide, and barrel bridge has a scratch at its perimeter below the serial number. Dial is beautiful with just a very faint outer chapter hairline at 54 minutes. Case is very attractive overall with excellent engraving detail. Case front opens a small bit wide of 90 degrees (to approximately 100 degrees), and case band has dings around the 10 O'clock area.
