Vintage Hamilton 992 Denver Loaner Railroad Pocket Watch! This vintage Hamilton is 16 size (case diameter 49 mm). The movement is the well know and respected 992, with 21 jewels, lever set, gold jewel settings, gold center wheel, and adjusted 5 positions. The dial is original double sunk with bold numerals, and is excellent with no hairlines or chips.

Hands are original and heavy. The case is nickel silver screw back and bezel, and is marked Cosley Loaner Denver. Loaner watches were loaned to railroad men when their regular timepiece was in the shop being serviced or repaired.

This movement dates to about 1927. Note this is not the original movement for this case. This watch runs and keeps reasonable time: within 5 minutes or LESS per day. I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced. Sorry, this is NOT a "Make Offer" listing.
