Hamilton 992 21j 16s Rare Anna Silveira Fancy Dial Private Label Pocket Watch

  
16 size 21 jewel open face lever-set pocket watch private label marked Anna Silveira, 72 Jackson St. To both its movement and dial. Dial is a spectacular fancy sunk-seconds enamel style with blue signature, gold foil numerals and minute markers, gold foil decorations, and red glass insets at the 15-minute positions.

Dial is fronted by a set of fancy gilt Louis XV style hands. Watch is housed in a 20 year gold-filled Fahys Montauk open face case. Movement serial number is 1031027. A beautiful watch, most of the Anna Silveira private labels were 18 size 17 jewel movements and this is the only example of a 16 size 21 jewel marked for her that I have seen. Running and a very nice looking movement with excellent color and luster.

Dial is beautiful with just a few mild small imperfections under the case bezel - a small curved hairline between 11 and 12 O'clock, two very small patched edge flakes between 11 and 12 O'clock, and some areas of perimeter rub. Case is excellent with a strong in hand look and feel. Bow has a spot of wear to brass at its upper-left.
