1948 Hamilton 23 jewel 950B Railroad Watch -14K Solid YG Wadsworth # 2 BOC RR case. A very good and rare 23 jewel Hamilton Pocket Watch in running order.

This 1948 model is marked , Hamilton Watch Co. 23 Jewels Adjusted Temp & 6 pos- Serial number S6042. The movement is complete with all jewel setting and components.

No rust or corrosion, lever setting Correct Porcelain dial is very good with no cracks or hairlines, very small rim chips from under bezel contact. Probably one of the last porcelain dials before the complete transition to melamine! 4kt Wadsworth case has no dents or dings, shows micro fine scratches from some usage. The case back has an area where an engraved dedication was removed.

It is evident but, not detrimental to it's overall appearance. Serial number J 130157 correlates to 1948 dating in known Hamilton Wadsworth databases. All case numbers are matching very rare 14kt solid gold Hamilton Railroad watch. Only a handful were produced. This one has a a lot going for it.
