18 size 21 jewel open face lever-set Grade 940 Special pocket watch. A scarce and beautiful 2-tone railroad grade movement featuring a "Special" marking to its barrel bridge, this example is notable for the superb preservation of its 2-tone color. Watch is fronted by a double-sunk enamel dial with script "Hamilton" signature, and watch is housed in a gold-filled Fahys Montauk open face case with attractive engraving detail to its rear and with an interesting bow. Movement serial number is 510347.

Running and a beautiful movement with superb 2-tone color and luster. Dial has some scattered faint hairlines and has a minuscule pinpoint surface flake in the space above its seconds-register. Case is excellent with a strong in hand look and feel. Glass crystal has some very small edge nicks at its upper-left.
