Nice scarce Private label EH Rummele Hamilton private label Railroad inspector 1887 pocket watch. A very interesting private label early grade 926 antique pocket watch.

Movement serial number is 24206. Movement runs and seems to keep time but I have not checked it over a long period. Nicely finished and Damascened with gilt gold screws and 17 jewels and marked adjusted.

Movement was made and marked on the movement special for EH Rummele Sheboygan Wisconsin. Rummele started a jewelry store and was a Watch inspector for the Lake shore and western Milwaukee railroad. His father was the superintendent of the railroad. An interesting historical Hamilton pocket watch. Dial is an original Hamilton Montgomery dial but has some damage and has been repaired, very nice original hands and a great nickel silver case with a finally engraved locomotive on the back.

The case is in very good condition. Watch winds and sets well.
