In this listing we are offering up for sale a spectacular and highly collectible Hamilton 922 14K Solid White Gold Open Face Pocket Watch with Knights Templar Symbol on the dial for the 1928 Triennial Conclave. The Knights Templar Conclave were conventions held by the Knights Templar order of Freemasonary, this particular watch was given to Arnold D. Crabb of Ivanhoe Commendary No. 24 of Milwaukee for winning first prize. As Hamilton 922 was the one of the highest grade models as well as one of the most expensive pocket watches that the brand made in the 1920s, for this particular watch to be given as first prize for a large convention of the Knights Templar Freemasons is definitely a highly treasured timepiece.

The Knights Templar emblem of Maltese style cross with IN HOC SIGNO VINCES text was specially printed on the dial which gives it provenance and character of the highest order. As for the pocket watch itself the Hamilton 922 23 jewels 12 size dress pocket watch was one of the best on the market at the time with full gold train, 12 radial concentric circles of decoration, gold jewel settings and much more.

The pocket watch itself is already a highly collectible antique and with the Knights Templar provenance its really a marvelous and rare timepiece. Condition-wise the watch winds and runs well but we cannot make any guarantee on function as it is over 90 years old and we have not had it serviced. It looks like a strong runner so it needs nothing more than regular service to get it running superbly. Cosmetically the dial has some patina from its age including the solid gold hour markers which has a bit of tarnish here and there. The 14K solid gold case is in superb shape that looks to be unpolished and the original presentation engraving on the caseback is still very sharp.

The watch is very well kept in wonderful shape and we certainly hope it becomes a treasured timepiece for the next owner. Comes with its ORIGINAL BOX.
