Hamilton 4992B Master Navigational Civilian Airlines Watch. Superior Condition and NO Reserve. This is a pretty rare example of the Hamilton 4992B that we all know as being a military issue navigational watch.

These were issued by the Quartermasters with Military nomenclature engraving on the back. Most often because the cases are base metal with light Chrome Plating, the back cover got ugly fast after the plating was cut through and oxygen in the air started working on the Chrome.

Ha milton made a small quantity of the this watch with the same dial, case and functionality as the Military Model. This watch is not only a scarce variety but is in extremely sharp condition. It has a Cartwheel original finish on the case back like an untouched Silver Dollar fresh from the mint. This is one of those rare cases where I can not call even a faint flaw. It's really sharp and 100 percent original and untouched.

I never say mint, because that implies it was never handled by previous owners. This came from the living estate of a man that I have known for 40 plus years. I would naturally ask him where it came from but he is no longer able to recall much of anything. The watch is defect free, running strong, and really sharp.
