" EXCELLENT " 1943 HAMILTON 992B RAILROAD GRAD E POCKET WATCH WITH ORIGINAL FLIP-TOP BOX. Because of my age I must sell watches in my collection. The 992B was the last Railroad Grade pocket watch designed by the Hamilton Watch Company. It took about 10 years, from 1931 to 1040, to complete the design. The first 992B from the new design was produced in 1940.

Hamilton continued production of 992B's for Railroad Service until they closed their doors in 1969. This marked the end of American made Railroad Grade pocket watches. This watch is a 1943, Model 5, 992B, 21 Jewels, Adjusted 6 Positions, with a porcelain-Enamel 536 Heavy Gothic Double Sunk Railway Special dial in a screw back and bezel Yellow Gold Filled Hamilton #11 case made by the Keystone Watch Case Company. Movement SN C77913 was made in 1943. The movement has Engraved winding wheels, Rounded-top Movement screws and Gold center wheel.

Hamilton replaced these features in later movement production in order to save costs. The movement was Produced, Cased and Timed at the Hamilton Watch Company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The watch is in Excellent condition and keeps good time. I don't know when it was last cleaned so to keep "Railroad Time" again it would need to be serviced.
