Excellent Hamilton 950B Railroad Watch. First Year Production

  
For you collectors who are just now taking up this wonderful hobby, let me tell you that in a collector's eyes not all watches of the same model and grade are equal in value. This Hamilton 950B I have listed here IS the one coveted by collectors. I'll get to its great condition in a moment but first look at the serial number...

S388, an extremely low production number meaning it was made in the first year, likely in the first run. These are the ones with the gold train and enamel marked dial. Those made in the later years have no gold train and use a melamine dial instead which cheapens their value. This scarce early movement is in wonderful condition with great color and luster and hardly a jeweler's mark.

It is cased in the appropriate model #A case with shoulders in very nice condition with no dings or dents with a polished mirror finish with just a touch of brassing under the firm bow. My pics can't do the back of the case justice! The dial is pristine with the exception of a tiny flea bite inside the 3 numeral.
