This watch was professionally serviced in December 2016 by a professional watchmaker and all parts including every single cap jewel settings and barrel complete were completely disassembled, cleaned, oiled and adjusted. The oil used is all synthetic and it will last longer. The inside case back says BALL OFFICIAL RR STANDARD KEYSTONE WATCH CASE J. The case is in very good condition. The bezel and case back screw off nicely and they screw on all the way to the end.
There aren't any spaces between the middle case and them when you screw them on, but they are little sticky. The case was disassembled and cleaned thoroughly when this watch was serviced, so it is clean but you may want to put a little grease on the thread for smoother movement to screw on. I can see worn gold filled spot around the hole of bow, where chain is attached to.
Other than that, I don't see any worn gold filled spots with my naked eyes. There is a area where the surface looks like there are small bubbles underneath the gold filled. Gold filled is still there, but you can see the area in the pictures. They are in the middle of fine lines (far left of the three fine line sections) on the case back. The glass crystal has some surface scratches, but they are light and very clear.
There is one little noticeable scratch, strangely it is inside, and you can see it in the first picture near between number 10 and 11. The dial has no hairlines and there is a edge chip at 1:00. This is the only defect of this dial. All hands are pretty blue color. The movement has a good balance motion with smooth ticking sound. I don't see any noticeable deep scratches on the surface, but there is a rust spot on the ratchet wheel and there are fine straight fine scratches on the surface of ratchet wheel. Other than that, this is a gorgeous movement. The movement says BALL WATCH CO.
23 Jewels ADJUSTED 5 POSITIONS MOTOR BARREL B607131 SAPPHIRE PALLETS. According to the serial number, this watch is from around between 1915 and 1920. This watch was professionally serviced in December 2016 and I can set, wind fine and it continues to run and keeps good time without stopping (but not like quartz accuracy), but I can't offer you any future warranties on this watch as this is almost 100 years old antique and any mechanical things like this old may go wrong anytime even with proper care. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for your interest and have a wonderful day!
