This watch winds, sets and ticks. I give it a couple winds and off it goes. Movement: Better than average Hamilton Grade 926. Bright nickel stem wind lever set movement.
Scratch free (I can't find any scratches that you usually see on something this age). Probably could use a cleaning due to age and extended storage. Balance is running true and watch is keeping time within a few minutes a day (I have not timed it). Dial / hands: White porcelain with black hour numbers and red minute numbers every five minutes around the outside edge of the dial. Dial appears to be pristine. I can't find any cracks or chips. Hour hands are dark blue / black spade. Second hand is standard stick shape dark / blue black. Hour hand has a couple small spots you can see on the spade under magnification. Case: Super nice highly figured case, nicer than the usual case.Front, back and dust covers open to proper 90 degrees. The only marks on the inner dust cover are "V 271002". Pocket watch database has this as a "Ladd V" case, 14k gf, 5yr confirmed in catalog 1897BB. I can not confirm who made this case. A little wear on the gold on the back from age / use.
Crown and pendant are great. The bow has a very very little fob wear. Has a 0.25mm bubble in the glass at the 18 minute mark. Love these old glass crystals with micro bubbles.
Crystal has a few light scratches. This is one of the nicest lever set cases I have had. We do not guarantee the running of antique watches. This pocket watch is old and has been in storage.
It will need to be cleaned and oiled by a qualified watchmaker to maintain operation. This sale is for one (1) Hamilton 926 pocket watch. No other part, information, etc. This includes apartments, townhouses, shared industrial buildings, strip malls, etc. We do not charge for this service.
