5 Oz Diamond set Splendor 14 gold 18 Size 21 Jewel Hamilton grade 941 Railroad Trainmen pocket watch 1908 t. Size high without pendant: 59mm wide 56mm , 19mm thick. The watch is in very nice undamaged condition. Three part Enamel dial in mint condition, original blued steel spade hands, and mineral glass. Heavy five collar 14k massive gold cut Hunter splendor case set with a big real Diamond in the center, The Diamond measures 4,5 mm across.

The case is in very nice, unworn undamaged condition. Mint condition full plate movement, 18 size serial no. 636666, rhodium-plated, fausses côtes decoration, gold screw compensation balance, index spring fine adjusting device, Screwed gold chatons.

The clean crisp movement is in good working order. The Hamilton Pocket Watch Co started its long life way back in 1874, then known as the Adams & Perry Watch Manufacturing Co. A man by the name of E. Bowman first made the forerunner of the first production movement, which came into production in April 1876. The company made the decision to concentrate its efforts on making a standard 18 size watch after producing about 1,000 of the earlier pieces, which were about a 19S.

These movements were made by the Lancaster Watch Co and work started first in 1877. Distinctive to this company were the four grades of movement it produced, namely the Keystone, Fulton, Franklin and Melrose. The transformation into the Hamilton Watch Co was made in late 1892 when Charles Rood and Henry Cain formed the company and soon the first Hamilton Pocket Watch rolled off the production line. Testament to the quality of the watches it produced is the fact that most of its watches ended up being bought for use on the railways. In fact by 1923 approx 52% of its entire production were Railroad Grade Watches.
