1907 Hamilton 21 Ruby Jewel RR Grade A 940 18s Private label R Strachan Ontario

  
For sale is a Hamilton grade 940 pocket watch. I inherited the watch and no very little about it but was able to get a lot of information on the watch by the serial number using the Pocket Watch Data Base page. It is an 18s Railroad watch Grade A 21j with ruby material. The watch face looks gorgeous with no marks, chips or dings that I can see.

Close up high res pictures so you can zoom and see up close. According to one site this has a silver case, but another says various cases were used, including stainless steel and silver plated. I put a magnet to the case and back cover and neither were magnetic.

The watch glass is missing and looks like somewhere along the line of passing down from generation to generation it had a plastic one put in its place. It is lose and does not stay on its own.
