1896 Hamilton 18S 931 Pocket Watch With Heavy 14K Case & Fancy Dial

  
This is a beautiful antique mans pocket watch. It is made by Hamilton, 18 size, hunter model, stem wind, lever set, 16 jewels, grade 931, serial #17728 (Circa 1896). The movement is marked with the retailers name Zug, Carnegie, Pa. It runs strong and has good motion. The movement plates are very nice. They are not scratched up or overcleaned.

A nice example of this scarce movement. The porcelain dial is really special. It is a factory Hamilton dial marked with the retailers name to match the movement. Dial is excellent, with one very faint, short hairline between the center hole and the top of the seconds dial. The drum-style case is solid 14K gold.

It has excellent carved designs on both lids. Initials LM in the shield on one side.

Sharp designs, and not dented. The case springs are good, and the lid opens to 90 degrees as it should. Overall a really beautiful watch.
