16s Ball/Hamilton 23 jewel 999 pocket watch. This will be FOC for UK post codes. The movement in this watch is a highly sophisticated 23 jewel 999, manufactured by Hamilton.

It features gold (screw set) settings, a gold plated gear train, gold timing screws to the compensated balance, a fully capped escapement and a jewelled motor barrel. This was just about as good as it got back in 1923 when the watch was made, and resulted in a reliable watch giving remarkable timekeeping accuracy, and reliability. This one has just been serviced and a new mainspring fitted, it runs really well and keeps time to within a few seconds per day. The watch is pendant wound, lever set, and comes with a 6 month guarantee! The movement housed in a 20 year yellow gold filled case by the Philadelphia Case Co.

Features an engraved train on the rear cover. Both front and rear covers are screw on/off, and both do so easily, closing tight and square all around.

There are no dents, dings or wear through to brass evident and the stem crown and bow are all in good nick. The single sunk enamel dial in as new condition, no chips, cracks or hairlines. Nice black steel heavy railroad hands under a good mineral glass crystal. Overall, a fairly rare Railroader in fabulous condition that will be a fine addition to any collection.
