The pocket watch database says the watch was made in 1950. The watch does look like it has seen a lot of use, by the amount of wear on this case. The vintage outer case also looks like it had seen a lot of use, and it is fully functional. Personally I think it adds value knowing a item like this has been used, not just brand new sitting on a shelf.
I will let you decide that for yourself. The crystal on the watch has a lot of scratches and wear on it. The Glass on the outer case looks good and has some flaws. The tabs and metal piece on the outside hold the lid firmly.
I don't know the service history of this watch, but it winds smoothly and has been running strong for well over an hour now. I have not tested it for length of time or accuracy.
