Here is a nice looking Hamilton 992 Railroad Pocket Watch with a good looking SIGNED Montgomery dial. The dial is very clean and has the one minute outer chapter ring. This is a 16 size open face pocket watch and is in a Illinois Watch Case Co. The case is chrome and is ornate but the front and back threads are a bit messed up. They will close but you have to play with the front and back lids to get the threads to engage. The SIGNED movement is a classic Hamilton 992 and it dates back to 1916 per its serial # 1,188,209. Of course it is gold jeweled and screwed chatons. Has 21 jewels and is lever set and stem wound, 5 adjusts plus temperature. This is a classic Railroad Grade pockey watch and is now 103 years old. A true testimony to the quality of the American made Hamilton Watch Company. Very nice example of the Hamilton Railroad grade watch. It is s old as you see it pictured here.
