Hamilton Model 23 19 Jewel 16s World War II Military Chronograph Pocket Watch

  
16 size 19 jewel open face pendant-set Model 23 World War II era military chronograph pocket watch with 30-minute register. An excellent example of this high grade military chronograph that is in far better condition than most. Watch is fronted by its correct black metal dial and is housed in its correct chrome-plated base metal case with military contract markings to its rear. Running and chronograph sweep-seconds hand starts, stops and resets properly.

Minute register function has a small issue in that its hand resets to a position one minute left of 30 as seen in photo, but when chronograph is initiated it immediately jumps forward one position to the 30 spot and then proceeds to count forward properly as each minute elapses. This seems to be a fairly common issue among Model 23 Hamiltons as I've owned a number that have behaved this way. Movement has some typical scattered surface marks. Hands are superb apart from a slight bend to the tip of the sweep-seconds hand. Please check out my other items this week for more great watches and watch related items for sale.
