16 size 17 jewel open face pendant-set Grade 968 pocketwatch movement/dial/hands. Uncommon grade with a total production of 1037 made, and a very nicely finished movement with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and very attractive fancy nickel damaskeen.

Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial with script Hamilton Watch Co. Serial number is 320342, and movement has Hamilton's earlier style setting mechanism that requires a case with a detent type stem.

Running weakly on a full wind but balance motion is quite sluggish and I think movement likely hasn't seen a cleaning and oiling in many years. Beautiful movement with excellent color and luster and some mild surface marks. Dial faces up very well but has a light group of outer chapter hairlines between 3 and 4 O'clock, a very faint single outer chapter hairline at 12 O'clock, a tiny patched edge nick outside 46 minutes, and some colorless glaze scratches within the seconds-bit.
