The case is marked Hamilton Watch CO. 10 k gold filled with a small crease on back cover and one deep scratch and small scratches on case.
I do not see any brassing with the naked eye. Bow is a little loose. Back case lid does screw down completely but it takes a bit to get it started.
Crystal is plastic and very nice with no scratches. Hands are nice with no rust. It has a beautiful Montgomery dial marked 23 jewels Railway Special.Serial number is S10240 which dates to 1950. It has 23 jewels and is marked 23 jewels 950b and adjusted temp and 6 positions and is a model 6 and total production was 32500 and winds and sets and keeps time but I have no service record so it should be serviced. I wound up the watch and after 24 hours with the face of watch up it was 15 seconds fast. This is one of Hamiltons best railroad watches and is not in mint condition but definitely in very nice condition.. The item "Hamilton 950b 23j Railway Special Pocket Watch.
