Hamilton 940 Extra 21 Jewel 18s Rare Fancy 2-tone Pocket Watch

  

18 size 21 jewel open face lever-set Grade 940 "Extra" pocket watch with rare and beautiful fancy 2-tone gilt and nickel damaskeen finish. Movement is marked "Extra" on its barrel bridge and features a very unusual 2-tone pattern and also features gold flashed movement screws and regulator assembly.

Watch is fronted by a double-sunk enamel Montgomery numeral dial and watch is housed in a hinged nickel display case. Movement serial number is 417045.

Running and a beautiful movement with excellent 2-tone color. Larger winding wheel has a few fine scratches and some small specks of oxide. Dial faces up very well with just some mild flaws - a faint outer chapter hairline at 5 O'clock, small patched edge chips or flakes under the case bezel near 2 O'clock and 7 O'clock, and some glaze scratches within its seconds-register. Case is attractive with an excellent overall in hand look and feel though case does have some scratches and abrasion to its band in the areas where is been opened adjacent the lips on front and rear bezels.
