Hamilton 992 21 Jewel Railroad Pocket Watch. This Hamilton railroad watch is 16 size (case diameter 50 mm). The movement is marked 992, with 21 jewels, gold jewel settings, gold center wheel, and is marked "Adjusted 5 Positions" as required for railroad service. This is a fairly late model 992 made in about 1926. The movement condition is very nice with a few very minor scratches and a hint of some spiderwebing on the regulator spring that is virtually invisible in hand.

Digital images tend to enhance "flaws". This watch is in a very nice pink gold filled Wadsworth case. This is an early original case marked Pat's. That Hamilton termed the "Cross Bar" case.

Case has NO brass and only light wear. The original, double sunk dial is porcelain and has bow tie hands and oversized numerals correct for the time period. The dial has NO chips, and NO hairlines. This watch runs and keeps reasonable time, but I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced. Sorry, this is NOT a "Make Offer" listing.
