Antique Hamilton Grade 996, 19 J Railroad Pocket Watch. This antique railroad grade pocket watch is 16 size (case diameter 52 mm). The case is a factory display case marked Hamilton on both bezels.

The case was given a gold wash in the distant past, and nicely shows the movement through the glass back. Yes, both crystals are beveled glass! The movement is a grade 996, lever set, 19 jewels, marked Adjusted 5 positions, and has gold jewel settings. Movement condition is excellent and this has the fancy damaskeening found on these early model Hamiltons. The dial is correct double sunk porcelain and bold numerals. This is a very nice 996 made in about 1916!

This watch runs and keeps reasonable time: within 5 minutes or LESS per day. I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced. Sorry, this is NOT a "Make Offer" listing. I will not consider or reply to any offers. Some of you may know that established retailers such as L.
