Item #: E28 Category: Hamilton Case: Open Faced, Screw Front & Back, Gold Filled 25 Years Movement: Lever Set, Stem Wind, 18 Size, 23 Jewels, Adjusted 5 Positions, Gold Jewel Settings, Damaskeened Model #: 946 Serial #: 550875 Description: This is a Hamilton Watch Co. 946 railroad grade and railroad approved pocket watch circa 1908. There is some advanced brassing on the bow, pendant and rim.
The dial has a few hairlines and chips. There are no major dents, dings or scratches though. This watch set and wound smoothly and started right up without persuasion. Mechanically this watch seems very sound. Even though there are signs of wear this watch still displays nicely.
