This is a very Rare Ball-Hamilton 999N 23J Railroad with the Gold RR Plug on Movement, in a seldom ever seen Leather Nightstand Case that props up for night use. This was Made in 1912. The Leather Case has a latch button and locks closed and opens when you push in the button and then folds up and the front folds out to sit in the rear for a upright nightstand use.. It is marked "The Ball Watch" on the foldout. It has a half circle that the watch sits in which has been glued back on the stand to hold the watch. It has the Ball Company papers inside the rear of the case, however the numbers do not match the watch. The 999N is a 16 size 23 Jewel Model with the Ball Pat'd hairspring stud, not the Hamilton type stud. Ball made 5600 of this Grade. The watch is in a Ball Model Fahy's swing out Gold Filled case marked Permanently, which is the highest Gold filled model with out going into Gold purity.

The Dial & Hands are in perfect condition. This will make a great addition to any Ball Collection. I don't end auctions early.
